UNA United Assessors Ltd
FULL ACCIDENT MANAGEMENT FROM INCEPTION TO COMPLETION
1) CALL CENTRE
i. UNA has access to an out of hours call centre facility. The Call Centre will take details of the circumstances and location of the vehicle. This information will be e-mailed to UNA for action the following day.
ii. The Call Centre has details of the UNA Repairers who have 24 hour recovery services, and also have authority to organise roadside recovery when required.
2) RECOVERY
i. Standard collection of vehicles for repair forms part of our contract with our Network Repairers, and no charge is made, so long as the vehicle is not a total Loss.
ii. When the vehicle is Beyond Repair, the Repairer charges a fixed fee for the recovery into free storage
iii. With our widespread coverage of the country most collections can be organised within the existing system with no cost to the client.
iv. Where the request is received from the roadside, we can organise for the recovery of the vehicle to the closest Repairer, using an approved Recovery Agent (Note: new legislation is now in force requiring licensed recovery vehicles to pick up from the roadside).
3) PRACTICAL ADMINISTRATION
UNA will contact the Insured within 2 working hours, and inform them of what will happen. UNA will contact either the engineer or the repairer to Arrange for inspection or an estimate. UNA will co-ordinate with the engineer/repairer about the best way of dealing with the claim. UNA will monitor the progress of the Claim, and will chase the engineer/Repairer, when necessary. UNA will verify the Repairer Invoice, after receipt from the engineer. UNA will administer and pay the engineers for their services, save that where there is an extra fee from the engineer (for a genuine reason) this will be passed to the Client without any additional administration fee. Where the vehicle repair falls below certain agreed thresholds, UNA will arrange for inspection by Video Image. UNA will carry out its duties of administering the claim for a fixed fee, independent of the size of the claim.
